Timothy John Remmert LCSW

Mr. Remmert received an Associate in Science degree in Human Services, Addiction Specialization, from Daytona State College; a Bachelor of Science degree in Clinical Psychology and a Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Central Florida. He joined Counseling & Disability Services in November 2014. He studied Spanish in college and considers himself “functionally bilingual.” His Clinical internship was completed in the Stewart-Marchman ACT Mental Health Jail Diversion Program which provided him with intensive experience in one-to-one and group counseling.

  Tim was self-employed as a case manager in the Medicaid Waiver program from 2011 to 2015 assisting individuals with developmental disabilities.  He is experienced working with this population and an extensive range of mental health issues including psychological disorders, dual- diagnosed, vocational rehabilitation, substance abuse, group therapy, and behavior plans.

HYPNOTHERAPY

Timothy is a graduate of the Wellness Institute Heart Centered Hypnotherapy and is accepting new patients.  Heart-Centered Hypnotherapy is a way to access then heal the source of our traumas, beliefs and dysfunctional patterns. When something “triggers” us, it is usually an unhealed trauma or belief.  Hypnotherapy accesses the subconscious to access and heal the source trauma.For over 35 years, Heart-Centered Hypnotherapy has proven effective for almost all psychological issues ranging from anxiety and depression to addictions and behavioral issues.

Elizabeth Ferguson, LCSW, CAP, ME

Elizabeth Ferguson is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Certified Addictions Professional,

Certified Educator and an approved supervisor for social workers seeking licensure. Ms.

Ferguson received her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Central Florida. She

also received a Master of Education from Lewis University of Chicago and a BA in Sociology

from the Loyola University of Chicago.

Ms. Ferguson has specializations in trauma, anxiety, depression, addiction, and codependency along with other mental health issues. She blends medical, psychological, mental health, and spiritual principles in her practice. She is an approved EMDR trauma therapist for the treatment of PTSD. She advises practical strategies to nurture your inner child and set yourself free from worry, sadness, negative thinking patterns, self-destructive behaviors and dysfunctional relationships. She assists families and friends to set healthy boundaries with loved ones.

Ms. Ferguson began her counseling career 30 years ago in Chicago, Illinois working with families from diverse nationalities and ethnic backgrounds. She has worked in Volusia County Schools as a school social worker, case worker, school counselor and teacher. As a counselor for Stewart-Marchman Act she provided intake screening, assessment, diagnosis, individual and group facilitation for mental health and substance abuse services. She joined Counseling and Disability Services in 2017.

Patricia Duff, M.A., LMHC, CRC, CCTP

Ms. Duff Certified Clinical Trauma Professional specialize in women’s issues such as healing from domestic violence, divorce, narcissistic abuse, trauma, anxiety, life transitions and handling societal expectations/discriminations.

Ms. Duff use a combination of rational emotive therapy (RET), cognitive behavioral techniques (CBT), mind body connection, gestalt therapy and existentialist modalities.

Fawn Simone Greenberg-Akins

Fawn Greenberg Received a B.S in Sociology from Queens college, New York. Received a M.S in Education major History - minor Psychology from Queens College, New York Received a MS in School counseling at L.I.U. Brookdale Long Island C.W Post Campus, New York Currently hold and is a Registered Mental Health Intern with the state of Florida.

Fawn began her 20-year career as a Bilingual (in Spanish) middle school teacher then branched off to be a counselor in the city of New York. Her connection with students has seen by her superiors and is suggested she bridge her skills to counseling. After completing her second Master’s of science in 2004, she became a full-time school counselor for inner city students. When she moved to Florida, she continued her career and spent eight years in Central Florida working with students in public schools. Now she wishes, as a registered mental health intern, to continue helping adults and young adults through counseling services.


Youth and adults face many challenges, due to society and internet influences. This can create both positive and negative emotions, which can impact self-esteem, create false views of self, anxiety, and depression or even anger. Counseling can help them find their individualism, become whole, while learning to manage stressors and getting in touch with emotions.
